    The Swift Creek Mill Theatre operates out of one of the country's oldest grain mills, built in 1663, and provides the community with traditional and new plays, comedies, dramas, musicals, and training for young performers.

    Richmond

    The Richmond Folk Festival is one of Virginia's largest festivals celebrating the culture and heritage of all Americans through music, dance, food, storytelling, and entertainment.

    The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts contains over 30,000 permanent works from worldwide cultures spanning thousands of years in history and many genres of art. Notable works include the Lillian Thomas Pratt collection of Faberge jeweled objects, English silver, and some of the country's finest examples of South Asia, Himalaya, and African works.

    The Richmond Ballet is one of the country's unparalleled dance institutions. The ballet performs over 50 dances every year and often tours Virginia and the United States. The School of Richmond Ballet trains about 700 students annually.
